- Affordable student-focused tablet
- Modest specs with bundled S Pen
- Arrives 5 September
After considerable speculation, Samsung has finally launched its affordable Galaxy Tab S10 Lite tablet, and it’s seemingly being targeted at students preparing to start another term.
It had been heavily leaked in recent weeks, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is now official. It packs a 10.9-inch, 2112 x 1320, 90Hz TFT screen with a peak brightness of 600 nits.
Together with a Vision Booster feature, Samsung claims that this screen will adapt comfortably depending on whether you’re indoors or outside in the sun.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite design and specs
This is housed in a 165.8 x 254.3 x 6.6mm body, with a weight of 524g. It’s available in three colours: Grey, Silver, and Coralred.
As predicted, Samsung has equipped its new tablet with its own Exynos 1380 chip – the same processor that powered the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE a few years back – together with either 6 or 8GB of RAM.
There are two available storage capacities: 128GB and 256GB, with a microSD slot supporting up to 2TB of expansion. There’s an 8,000mAh battery driving things along.
One of the most appealing aspects of Samsung’s tablets is its S Pen stylus support, and sure enough, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite bundles one into the box.
On the photographic front, you’re looking at an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite software and AI
Modern Samsung is as much about its software features as it is its hardware, and with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite that appears to involve so-called ‘Intelligent Features’.
In Samsung Notes, that includes helping you to organise your handwritten notes through Handwriting Help, helping to solve equations in Solve Math, and working directly on imported PDFs.
Add in the mention of “following lecture slides while taking notes or illustrating with reference images open side by side”, and that colourful accompanying image, and it seems clear Samsung is targeting its new tablet at students.
To that end, Samsung is offering a bunch of free software trials with the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, including a year’s access to the full version of Goodnotes.
You can also claim a six-month free trial of Clip Studio Paint with 20% off your first subscription, as well as a 66% discount on LumaFusion with a month’s free Creator Pass subscription. Samsung also mentions that Notion AI includes a one-month free trial of its Plus plan.
Don’t expect the full suite of AI tools as found on its Galaxy Tab Ultra and Galaxy S25 smartphone lines, but you will get Circle to Search. Meanwhile, a Galaxy AI Key on the optional Book Cover Keyboard grants quick access to AI assistance.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will be available to buy globally from 5 September. We don’t have UK pricing as yet, but European prices start from €400.
