All degrees must come from a recognised institution. Engineering posts (Level 7 and the Level 8 Senior Engineer) require registration with the Nepal Engineering Council under current law.

Exam Process and Important Notes
The selection has a written exam and an interview. Level 4 Telecom Technician and Level 3 Junior Technician candidates also sit a practical exam. The Public Service Commission will fix the date, time and centre for each advertisement; those details will follow the Commission’s schedule, not this notice.
- Open and inclusive: a candidate applying in the open category and an inclusive group must fill in the online form once and meet the extra fee and document rules above.
- Open fee first: a candidate applying only through an inclusive group pays the open exam fee for the first group.
- Equivalency: degrees from foreign institutions need an equivalency certificate to be accepted.
- Late qualifications: qualifications, council registrations, training and experience earned after the regular last date (Mangsir 3, 2083) are not accepted.
- Syllabus: NTC says the syllabus is available on its website, www.ntc.net.np.

(1) Since the company will send vacancy and exam related information to the applicant’s Email Id, the applicant is requested to register using his official Email Id only. After registration, the system will send an activation link to the applicant’s email. You can login by using the email you provided as user ID and the password you created as password. Applicants who have applied in the previous advertisement can use their existing user ID and password. If the password is forgotten, it can be reset by going to Forgot Password.

Education, Training. In order to apply for the post in Experience, Council and Privilege group, you have to enter the necessary details as per the demand and upload and save the documents. Permanent employees working in Nepal Telecom who are applying for promotion and AP must go to the Service History Tab that opens after selecting NT Staff in their profile and type in the Employee ID, and upload the necessary information for the advertised position. But the applicant applying only in the open side does not have to make an entry in the Service History. The size of the document and photo to be uploaded should not be more than 200kbs.
