With smartphone hardware hitting a ceiling and the market trying to ignore the rising prices due to the memory crisis, the colour of new devices is the talk of the town.
We already know (assuming the information is correct) which shades the iPhone 18 series will come in and now the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 range, as well as the Flip 8, colourways have been leaked.
The Ultra is the taller device we’re accustomed to, while the new ‘Wide’ model is reportedly getting the plain model name.
The information comes via Digital Citizen and provides the four hues each of the three foldable phones will launch in. They are:
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (SM-F976B) colours
- Cream
- Graphite
- Green Shadow
- Violet Shadow
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide (SM-F971B) colours
- Cream
- Graphite
- Lavender
- Pistachio
Galaxy Z Flip 8 (SM-F776B) colours
- Cream
- Graphite
- Mint
- Pink
What Samsung appears to have done here is a now pretty classic strategy of having essentially black and white options for all three handsets, then exclusive colourways of each.
It’s just a shame that if you want one phone but love a colourway of another, there’s nothing you can do about it. Whether there will be additional exclusive colours on the official Samsung store remains to be seen.
The report also stated what storage options you’ll get for each phone. All three will be available in 256- and 512GB, while the Fold models will also have a higher 1TB option.

Following on from the Galaxy S26 Ultra in Cobalt Violet (above), it’s the Violet Shadow colourway which is set to be the ‘hero’ option. Analyst and leaker, Ice Universe, says there will be “a very beautiful online color option in the Galaxy Z Fold8 series. You can look forward to it”, but you’ll have to guess which one he means.
No doubt, we’ll see some renders of these colours at some point ahead of the rumoured Unpacked event, where they will be made official. It’s heavily tipped to take place on 22 July.
It should be held in London and Samsung is also set to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 series as well as the long-awaited Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. New earbuds are always possible and, who knows, we might finally see the Galaxy Ring 2 as well – even if it is just a teaser like when the original made a cameo appearance at a previous Unpacked.
